What you'll do
Do you thrive on uncovering insights that drive real impact? Join our Insights Lab at iO and become part of a high-performing team of dedicated researchers who bridge the gap between human needs and organisational success.
We are looking for a researcher who helps scale our customer-centric approach across a large variety of ambitious clients. In this role, you'll deploy your research skills in two key ways. Firstly, you’ll lead standalone user research or market research projects tackling specific challenges. Additionally, you’ll serve as the voice of the customer within our integrated project teams alongside designers, strategists, creatives, developers and marketers.
As an experience researcher at iO, you’ll:
• Gather impactful insights, translate them to actionable recommendations, and monitor implementation of recommended initiatives.
• Drive customer-centric design and decision-making by exploring the sweet spot where user value meets business value.
• Propose the right research and data approaches for each project, whether deep and objective or quick and efficient, depending on project needs.
• Conduct qualitative research including user testing, interviews, and ethnography, as well as quantitative research using surveys, analytics and CX metrics.
Project examples you might work on:
• Improve the lives of Belgian and European citizens by supporting the creation of user-centric digital platforms for life events like moving or starting a business.
• Map the complete customer journeys of a telecommunications player through in-depth ethnographic research to enhance the full customer experience.
• Track brand perceptions in the leisure sector and identify positioning opportunities for growth.
• Discover and evaluate the top tasks of architects, installers and dealers to shape the digital strategy of a global construction player.
• Analyse how Belgian companies currently use, implement and experience AI to support a major SaaS player in developing optimal messaging strategies.
• Provide strategic product insights that steer app feature roadmaps in public transportation.
Your qualities and skills as Experience Researcher
• Highly curious and proactive in initiating meaningful research projects.
• A compelling storyteller and presenter, who captivates audiences to take insights-driven action.
• Eager to continue developing qualitative and quantitative research skills, along with domain expertise in UX, product, strategy or marketing.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in user research, market research, data analytics or strategy. (More experienced professionals are strongly encouraged to apply too.)
• Proficient in both French and Dutch at a professional working level.
