Will you lead challenging projects in the right direction thanks to your technical know-how and people skills?
As a Project Manager at iO, you will be in charge of various technical projects. Of course, you have already gained some practical experience - the websites and platforms you worked on are visual and technical masterpieces. You make sure everyone knows what needs to be done and translate the client's needs into clear briefings for your technical colleagues. Thanks to your technical background, this is no problem for you.
Organising status meetings, following up on third parties and communicating proactively with our partners: that's what makes you happy. You also enjoy working in a team, which will serve you well at iO. You will join our technology team, where you will collaborate closely with our Service Line Director Technology. As soon as projects kick off, you ensure that everything runs smoothly. And hey: we might also count on you in the phase before the project starts. Think about sales meetings, preparing quotes and determining budgets. You're not afraid of that, are you?
At iO, we attach great importance to knowledge and knowledge sharing. Of course, you will gain knowledge from the projects you and your team take on, but there are also infinite opportunities for growth. We will give you the space to shape your personal growth path, but you will also have access to training resources and a substantial training budget.
At iO Campus Ghent, we'd love to have you at one of our many after-work events — hosted by our very own party team — and you'll have a healthy work-life balance. We are moving to a brand new building soon, where you can enjoy our own kitchen, chef, and gym. Plenty of reasons to apply, right?
You have experience in digital project management. The websites, web applications, … you have already worked on, are not only graphic, but also technical works of art;
You have the necessary technical baggage to correctly estimate and deliver a project: you’ll effortlessly substantiate your time estimates and make realistic plans and proposals. You’ll take margins, doubts or ambiguities into account when creating a planning;
You have experience with budgeting. Together with your colleagues, you’ll analyse various components and make a realistic quotation based on their estimates. Does a client have questions about your quote? Then you can provide an answer with clear arguments;
You work in an efficient and structured way and you don’t stop before you achieve results;
Thanks to your open communication, asking for help when necessary is not a problem. After all, you won’t be working alone and you can count on a lot of enthusiastic colleagues who are happy to share their experience.
Do you — on top of this checklist — have experience with JIRA and Confluence? And do you have a broad understanding of hosting and marketing principles or even experience as a developer? Then we consider that a huge plus!
Do we feel a match? Then we’ll take action right away. Starting with a meet & greet (face-to-face or virtually) – you know: first impressions and all that!
That wasn’t too bad, was it? If we both have a good feeling about our first meeting, we’ll invite you for a short assessment to check how you can grow at iO. When and where it fits you, of course.
There’s a bunch of people here who are very eager to meet you. The next time we talk, two of your potential coworkers will join us to discuss the results of your assessment.
Are we all still excited? Congrats: it’s time to sign your contract! We’ll go over all the practicalities together and we’ll make sure you have everything you need to get started.

You’re giving us your time, dedication and your talent. And we’re very grateful for it. But what do you get in return? Here’s what to expect.
Dive into projects that really challenge you. Are you missing specific knowledge or skills? There’s always a colleague around who’s happy to help you out.
With more than 1500 colleagues, you’ll be surrounded by the expertise you need to ace every project and get a lot of satisfaction from your job. At the same time, your campus feels small, cozy and homely.
Everyone on your team brings new perspectives, interesting insights and valuable skills to the table. This way you’re part of something much bigger than just your own skill set.
At iO you continue to grow and learn. Training sessions on campus will help you develop skills you’d never even thought of. And with a personal training budget, you can fully develop your true potential.
A tasty lunch, prepared with care? Admit it: you’d come to the office for less. Add to that weekly fruit baskets and fresh ice cream when the weather calls for it and it’ll be hard to keep you away, won’t it?
Signed your contract? Then you’ve also signed up for Halloween dress-up parties, barbeques during 30-degree weather and our legendary Christmas party (totally optional of course!)
Your physical and mental well-being matters to you – and to us just as much. Count on interesting workshops, (online) sports events on campus and a shoulder to cry on when you need it.
A little help goes a long way. On many of our campuses, you’ll enjoy extra facilities, so you can focus on more important matters.
