Your role

Always wanted to work on challenging projects in a technical environment?

As Campus Antwerp’s Java Developer, you will develop custom Java web applications and platforms. That’s how you’ll contribute to professional newspaper websites, the largest reservation platform for restaurants in the Benelux or any other meaningful project that is used by thousands of people.

You’ll enter a vibrant environment where everyone is mad about technology. With the support of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll work with Spring components in Java. The fact that you’ll only produce clean code is a given. You’ll also help clients and colleagues to develop solid technical solutions.

At iO, you’ll have plenty of room to develop your talent and ambition. Your environment will always encourage you to keep learning. You will not only be taking leaps for your own development, but you’ll also gain experience you’ll use within your field of expertise and even beyond that

Your qualities and skills as Java Developer (2)

You have experience in designing and developing web platforms;
You know how to translate clients’ needs into concrete Java solutions;
You know how to test and improve existing Java solutions and have a keen eye for the performance side of it all;
You have heaps of experience with various Java frameworks such as Spring (Boot, Cloud, Data, Security), Hibernate, Thymeleaf, JUnit and Mockito;
You have a basic understanding of front-end web development (Javascript, SCSS, React, Angular and Webpack);
And tools such as Git, Bamboo and Docker are also part of your skillset.
