Java Architect

  • Function
    Java Architect
  • Campus
    Antwerpen, België
  • Skills
    Spring, Hibernate, Thymeleaf, JUnit, Mockito

Your role

Our new Java Architect will join a fun team that specialises in the development of software. For this team, you’ll take the technical lead in the development and support of customised web applications in Java.

You’ll be building web applications whilst focusing on performance and code quality. You’ll do that with the Java Spring ecosystem and popular technologies.

Your qualities and skills as Java Architect

Do you get a kick out of applying clean code, a modular structure and best practices? Then you might just be the Java Architect we’re looking for. Because you will develop large web apps, you’ll need experience in building large web platforms (preferably as a web architect or lead developer).

You have a technical mind, but you also know how to motivate and inspire your team members and clients. You’re flexible and you adapt quickly when working on multiple projects for multiple clients. Continuously switching between contexts and prioritising tasks is therefore no issue for you.

Besides these qualities you can also tick these boxes:

  • You have experience with various Java frameworks such as Spring (Boot, Cloud, Data, Security), Hibernate, Thymeleaf, JUnit and Mockito;

  • You also have experience with professional tools such as Git, Bamboo and Docker;

  • The systems that support Java web apps, like Linux, Tomcat, Apache, Nginx and AWS & JBoss are no strangers to you;

  • You have a basic understanding of front-end web development (HTML, Javascript, SCSS, React, Angular, Webpack).
