Your role
As a Functional Analyst, you convert project questions into a clear and logical structure. You make functional analyses that form the basis for the implementation process of applications and websites, track down pitfalls and uncertainties in time, and clarify these with the client, the UX Designer or UX Strategist.
Starting from either the customer's requirements, or a finished UX trajectory, you get to work writing everything down in concrete terms, in such a way that no one is left in doubt about what is going to be built (and what not). You are the bridge between UX and developers.
You check your proposals against reality and work closely with developers to develop a correct proposal. You are the contact person for the Project Manager, the developers or the customer if there is any doubt, or if something is unclear. Where after you take care of new requirements, formulate adjustments, etc. You try to get an overview of the data that exists, how it is structured, from which sources the data comes, in order to come to a correct solution. If your work has an impact on UX or UI, then you link back and make sure that the interface is adapted where necessary to your findings, the data, etc. You document decisions and ensure that everything is well and completely described.
You will be part of the UX & Design team but work closely with all Technology teams, where you will discuss the technical feasibility of your ideas with our internal developers.
Your qualities and skills as Functional Analyst
- You have at least 3 years of experience with web technologies (the development of systems, not the implementation of existing software) and a sufficient technical background to correctly assess the complexity of a problem.
- You can communicate in a positive way with customers and colleagues, and you work solution-oriented.
- Large, complex projects inspire you - from e-commerce and intranet environments to custom web projects.
- You are punctual, customer-oriented, and communicative. You have no problem bringing in specialists from within the organization to validate and refine your work.
- You document everything in a clear way, and your documentation is complete.
- You can handle several projects at once, and adapt to the customer's sector.
