Your role

Do you always side with the winner?

Do you love going the extra mile to win tenders? Are you in pitch perfect condition to prepare and present ambitious proposals in our name? Is your eye for deadlines always on point? At iO, we’re all part of an organisation that’s growing on the daily. We’re looking to support this growth through exciting projects for clients that match our organisation in more than just one way.

In short: we’re looking for an experienced bid manager to oversee our tendering processes from start to finish. Someone who knows how to create attractive tenders, based on the expertise found across iO campuses. This means facilitating the tender qualification process, managing every opportunity throughout the entire bid life cycle and co-ordinating production of the proposal response document.

No worries, you won’t be on your own. You can rely on your tender desk colleagues, as well as all of our in-house domain experts, to land bid-winning proposals. In fact, you get to compose your own team to take on tenders and determine how the iO tender output should look like. It makes you an inspirational team captain who loves to challenge teams and make them reach new heights. Throughout all of this, you maintain a sharp eye on deadlines and bid requirements.
Naturally, we plan to challenge you as well. Are you in need of additional skills during your time with us? Expect support for you in your quest for self-development. Not only within your field of expertise, but just as well on a personal level . Think soft-skills training, expert groups and certificates, or tickets to inspiring events.

Your qualities and skills as Bid Manager

  • You have at least three years of relevant work experience as a project leader or bid manager in a commercial environment

  • You have experiences in managing a team, preferably experts in government, business development and bid management

  • You have experience in managing both Belgian- and European-level tenders

  • You like to think tactically about the best approach for a tender and have a commercial sense for a winning offer

  • You have a sense of initiative and enjoys getting things done

  • You are team- and result-oriented, above all

  • You possess the drive to help set up iO’s Public Services team

  • You’re fluent in Dutch and English, French is a (big) plus
